Our Family!

Ours is a small, family owned and operated business which has enjoyed a strong reputation for honest service and excellent products for over 26 years. Years ago we realized that we just didn't like haggling nor did the customers we preferred to deal with!! So we began to market our above average vehicles with NO haggling and NO Hassles! And, guess what, NO stress!!

Now that we have relocated to Santa Fe, New Mexico (aka Paradise Found), we have done away with all "inventory" in order to further distance ourselves from the traditional adversarial car buying scene. No lot, no overhead (well, not too much!!), no tire kickers. Our name has changed to THECARFINDERS. We are now duly licensed as a Motor Vehicle Dealer in the State of New Mexico operating as THE CARFINDERS of SANTA FE, LLC, DBA THE CARFINDERS . Now we strictly serve as "Buyers' Agents" to find vehicles for our clients in a totally stress free, fun, environment where they will end up with a fully detailed, serviced and warranted vehicle with NO stress and very little effort.

We are interested in working with and helping people who want to get an above average vehicle without any stress.

David "Wild Man" Rhodes

Our mostly fearless leader & automotive consultant extraordinaire selects, buys, transports, inspects, cleans, repairs, and road tests all of our fine cars. He is thoroughly addicted to anything that has wheels and makes noise. Personal vehicles include an invincible Dodge Ram 3500 4wd, 450+ HP, Turbodiesel truck, a SCCA/NASA Spec Miata race car, a not so subtle Yellow Supercharged/Aftercooled Honda S2000, a Subaru Forester S, a Honda Gold Wing,a Harley Springer Softail (no, I do not own a stitch of clothing or any paraphenalia with the H-D name on it! And I wear a full coverage helmet and armored jackets....), a mountain bike, and a road bike ! That's enough, right?
He has been known to drive the wheels off of a race car and less well known to demolish mopeds in Bermuda. He is very picky about his cars and always striving to give customers 110%. He's more interested in building successful long term relationships than taking your money, but, hey, none of us are perfect!
He's glad to be a North Carolina native and ecstatic to be living in the land of spiritual and natural Enchantment.
Does not like people who try to haggle and manipulate others. Just got no tolerance for mean spirited people in general!

Joanne Blayman Rhodes

One of the kindest, most patient people you'll ever meet. Incredible attention to the details. Internet scion extraordinaire, she's the level headed rational one of the bunch... well, at least most of the time. Personal vehicle is a beautiful VW Passat GLX V6 named "Sage".
She, on the other hand, doesn't spend every waking moment thinking about motor vehicles. Somebody has to have a life!
Joanne is a natural born giver and shares David's appreciation of "real" people as well as his aversion to phonies.Not bad for a Brooklyn girl!

Bingo

Hit by a car on I-95 and rescued by a local couple. Adopted by us in 1997. The most mellow dog on the planet, Bingo is the very embodiment of love. Has the irritating ability to follow his nose where ever it leads him. Hey, he's a beagle. Guard your food!
Has become a hunter in Santa Fe. Lizards. Don't ask...

Sampson

Our newest addition! Another very fortunate adoption both for us and for him. We've never seen a more loving, lovable canine, except of course, Bingo and Flip. This guy is a genuine lovebug and apparently has had years of Yoga training as he can bend into any position imaginable to maximize cuddle-ability. Great hugger. Makes a great blanket! Has a slight underbite giving him all the charm of Michael Douglas. So now we know that not only are Standard Poodles the smartest dogs on earth, they are also the lovingest.

Gracie

This is our newest arrival. She is a rescue from Watermelon Mountain Ranch. When we first saw her she wiggled on her belly over to us. We were hooked. She is a Beagle, Red Heeler mix and loves to herd the poodle. She is the essence of love and joy. If we go out for 5 seconds she greets us as if we were gone for hours.

FLIP

Flip is no longer in his physical body. We know that he is still with us in our hearts.
